A suspected gang member was arrested Thursday morning in East Palo Alto, police said.
Menlo Park police, along with the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force and the Gang Intelligence Unit, raided a house on the 2400 block of Gonzaga Street just after 7 a.m., said Menlo Park police Detective Sgt. Jaime Romero.
Officers were serving a search warrant at the home as part of a month-long investigation, Romero said.
Officers found a handgun, a stun gun, a bullet-resistant vest, narcotics and other items related to drug sales, Romero said.
Smith was booked into San Mateo County jail on several charges, including being an active member in a criminal gang and possessing narcotics for sale.
