ALGEBRA SUICIDE was indeed one of Chicago’s best kept secrets throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, with smart lyrics by gifted poet/spoken word artist LYDIA TOMKIW backed by catchy minimalist new-wave sounds provided by her one-time husband DON HEDEKER. Profound in its simple truths and catchier than it had any right to be, this release compiles the best of their earliest works and is a rare delight.
